In the case of gazetted posts for the purpose of promotion, the educational qualification as per sub-rule (3) of rule 81 of the regulation and in the case of gazetted posts, the prescribed educational qualification will be required for entering the service in the respective posts. However, in the case of employees who are in the service or group at the time of commencement of these rules, the educational qualification prescribed for them to enter such service or group shall be considered as the minimum educational qualification for the purposes of this rule.
